FRISCO, TX–Perhaps not unexpectedly, FC Dallas took advantage of a Seattle Sounders FC still coming off their Concacaf Champions League triumph with a 2-0 win at Toyota Stadium. Jesus Ferreira put the Red Hoops ahead in the 65th minute and moved ahead of his father David in all-time goals for the club with his 25th. The goal also put him joint-top in the Golden Boot race with Austin FC’s Sebastian Driussi and Toronto FC’ Jesus Jimenez at seven goals apiece. Paul Arriola added insurance two goals from time as FCD maintained third place in the West behind LAFC and Austin.
