Ryan Hollingshead got the only goal as FC Dallas defeated Sporting Kansas City, 1-0, at Toyota Stadium. The win consolidates FC Dallas’s place in the Western Conference playoffs in fifth and three points clear of the red line. Sporting Kansas City, despite the loss, remain one point behind Seattle (who didn’t play) and Portland (who lost at Real Salt Lake on Wednesday) for the top of the West.
