FRISCO, TX–A ninth minute goal for Francisco Jara and a 66th minute penalty save by Maarten Paes was all FC Dallas needed to defeat LA Galaxy, 1-0, at Toyota Stadium. Marco Farfan sent a low ball into the penalty area and Jara beat Galaxy keeper Jonathan Bond to slot it home and put FCD ahead.
In the 64th minute, Farfan was guilty of a penalty after taking down Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez in the area. However, Pass would make the save on Dejan Joveljic to keep the clean sheet and eventually the three points for FCD and moves them up to fourth in the Western Conference table on 35 points while LA Galaxy fall to eighth and one point outside the playoff places.
