Four different Rapids and an own goal propelled Colorado to a 5-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes. Cole Bassett opened the scoring for the Rapids in the 36th minute, followed by Jonathan Lewis in the 50th. After a Tommy Thompson own goal in minute 70, Nicolas Mezquida and Andre Shinyashiki scored within five minutes of each other.
The Rapids move up to fifth in the Western Conference with the win while the Quakes remain rooted to the bottom on 11 points and four behind next-in-line Houston. Linda Brothers provides the photos from Wednesday night’s match at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
