ATLANTA, GA–Josef Martinez netted his 100th goal as a member of Atlanta United from the penalty spot which was enough to give the Five Stripes a 1-0 win over Inter Miami. The penalty came in the 78th minute after former Five Striper Leandro Gonzalez Pires was called for handball in the box.

Atlanta now move into a four-way tie for fourth place and a home playoff spot with NYCFC, Philadelphia, and Orlando. Atlanta are currently the sixth seed based on fewer wins than NYC and an inferior goal difference to the Union, but a superior one to Orlando. Inter Miami are now seven points adrift of the playoff line with the loss.
