SEATTLE, WA – We have some college soccer for you. The Seattle U Redhawks put together a complete performance from start to finish in a 2-1 victory over the Air Force Falcons Saturday night. Seattle U handed Air Force its first loss of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) slate behind 27 shots. The Redhawks move to 8-6-0 overall with the win and 4-2-0 in WAC play.
Declan McGlynn and Habib Barry had the goals for the Redhawks, both coming in the second half after Michael Neascu put Air Force ahead in the 28th minute.
Akili Kasim made five saves for the Redhawks to pick up his eighth win of the year. His 208-minute home shutout streak came to an end with Air Force’s first-half goal.
The Redhawks are on the road for two games next week. First, Seattle U will play at Incarnate Word on Friday, October 22 at 5:30 pm PT. After that, Seattle U faces off at UT-Rio Grande Valley on Sunday, October 24 at 11:00 am PT.
