Philadelphia Union has three representatives in the MLS year-end awards finalists.
Forward Kacper Przybylko, young midfielder Brenden Aaronson and head coach Jim Curtin have all been recognised on the back of a fine season for the Union.
Philadelphia is headed for the play-offs, facing New York Red Bills at home this Sunday after finishing third in the Eastern Conference.
Jim Curtin is up for the Sigi Schmid Coach of the Year award for his efforts, along with LAFC’s Bob Bradley, the favourite, and Domènec Torrent of New York City FC. Curtin is the only head coach nominated not to guide his team to a conference title.
Brenden Aaronson, who recently received his first USMNT call-up, makes the final three for the AT&T Rookie of the Year award alongside Minnesota United’s Hassani Dotson and Andre Shinyashiki of Colorado Rapids.
Last but not least, Union star man Kacper Przybylko is up for the Comeback Player of the Year award, the award given to a player who has overcome injury or adversity to achieve success.
Przybylko missed around a month of action with a fracture toe but still managed to score an impressive 15 goals in 26 MLS appearances.
The former Poland youth international is nominated for the award alongside LAFC’s Mark-Anthony Kaye and Seattle Sounders’ Jordan Morris.
