Toronto FC 4 – 0 New York City FC
Toronto, ON – Pozuelo debuts winning 4-0 to NY City FC at BMO Field!
It was the first time for the Spanish player in his new home and what a way to start bright with the Vanney Boys, in a perfect performance, where Jonathan Osorio was at the right place at the righ time.
The “Faena” starts at 29′ with a magnificent triangulation between Osorio and Pozuelo to leave alone the Man of New Jersey, Jozy Altidore to open the score.
TFC was on fire looking for another goal for it’s book, at 58′, the Peruvian, Alexander Callens commits a fault on Altidore who cedes the opportunity to Pozuelo who claims his first goal with a penalty a la Panenka.
Twenty minutes later, the Spanish player makes a golazo surprising everyone, including Altidore who couldn’t believe what his own eyes saw.
The second match at home for the Reds was converted in a real fiesta, Pozuelo conquers all the spectators at BMO Field adding his vote of confidence on the ex-player of Real Betis.
At 83′, Jay Chapman closes the masacre and makes history because it is not the first time the Canadian team beats NY City with a whopping 4-0.
Looks like Greg Vanney found how to cover the empty spots left behind by the International Victor Vazquez and Il Capo, Sebastian Giovinco!
