Match in pictures: D.C. United vs Portland Timbers

Washington D.C.- On Saturday, D.C. United continued their three game home unbeaten streak by putting two early goals by the Portland Timbers. The victory also lifted United into the sixth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference (6-8-9, 27 points). United earned three points after seeing goals scored by Steve Birnbaum.

The Timbers meanwhile held on to their playoff spot thanks in part to the Vancouver Whitecaps losing to the San Jose Earthquakes on Friday night. The loss was their sixth on the road this season.

Our photographer Jennifer Jordan-Harrell was on hand to capture all of the action. Check out some of her shots below!
