It seems that it is no longer strange to see Liverpool and Real Madrid once again face off in the final again of the Champions League after four years. This time, the Reds no longer plays the rebel to European Cup kings Real,  but on the contrary, they have developed to become the strongest team in Europe and probaby start as favourites.

This will be an opportunity for online football betting enthusiasts from America to Thailand, where it is called แทงบอล ออนไลน์ to freely bet on either of the two teams. The meeting between Liverpool and Real Madrid certainly has the potential to be a classic match. and is the fifth England – Spain final in the tournament’s history.

Between 1966 and 1981, Spain had ony one representative in the final, which was Atletico, who lost to Bayern in 1974. By the time of the Champions League, and especially in the first decade of the 21st century, Barcelona not Real were the Spanish embodiment of the competition.

In three consecutive finals against English teams; Arsenal in 2006, and Manchester United in 2009 and 2011, the Catalan team won with scores of 2-1, 2-0, and 3-1, respectively. The fifth match between Spain and England football is the 2018 Champions League final where Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1.

In the 2018 final, the turning point came in the 25th minute when Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah was dragged down by Sergio Ramos with a judo armlock. Salah was substituted four minutes later with a dislocated shoulder and a vital Liverpool attacker was removed.

Karim Benzema’s assassination goal against goalkeeper Loris Karius helped Real open the scoring in the 51st minute. Liverpool equalized four minutes later with a close-range shot from Sadio Mané.

Bale with two goals in the 64th and 83rd minutes engulfed Liverpool.

Historically, when Liverpool rematch with the opponent they have met in the final, it is usually not very good. In addition to losing to Real in 2018 in the second final that the two teams met (the first was Liverpool beating Real in 1981 that we mentioned above), Liverpool also lost to Milan in 2007 after winning in 2005.

Meanwhile, Real is the master of winning the final against previous opponents. In addition to the victory against Liverpool in 2018 as mentioned, Real after winning against Juventus in 1998 won against the Italian team in 2017.

However, the defeat against Inter Milan does not affect Liverpool, because they are still the overall winner in the 1/8 Champions League round. In the opposite direction, Real Madrid not only lost Ramos. They have also lost Keylor Navas, Varane, and Ronaldo, while Marcelo and Isco are only a shadow of themselves. Los Blancos’ midfield trio is four years older, of which the youngest – Casemiro has also turned 30.

Of course, Real Madrid is also not without aces. They have some precocious takents for example. such as Courtois, Militao, Alaba, Mendy, Vinícius Júnior, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga or Rodrygo.
