Ever since Larrys Mabiala arrived in the Rose City and joined the Portland Timbers organization he has delivered. Silently he is one of Portland’s axis to an effective and now renewed defensive backfield. So far seen as an immovable starter as his referent. Very well adapting to the new system his manager Giovanni Savarese has instituted. Still for Larrys business is business and his sole responsibility is making the Portland defense a belligerent one. In over 400 minutes of action the Timbers have  not allowed a goal with him and his cohorts. While that number is certainly something to be proud of an MLS season always has new challenges around the corner.

After seeing in the early stages of the campaign many setbacks, Larry’s is not a quitter and his hard work speaks for him lately. So far, with very impressive numbers the man from Monfermeil, France has been in Portland eleven games played as a starter. With a total of 990 minutes played, Larrys has scored one goal in that match against the NYCFC via a header after seven tries.

Prior his arrival at Portland he came with an impressive international C/V under his arm. With participation in Ligue 1 of France, League 3 of England and Turkey Super Lig as well international appearanceswith France and DR Congo his career has seen its fair share of stops. His exposure to these leagues has been notable in his skillset and is an asset in the defense.  The high levels of experience he has been his referential to deliver amazing performances as a silent hero in the Portland backfield and proven leadership as a center back.

The man delivers like a mailman with every afternoon giving his best of performances. As the league enters in its contested stages, Larrys for sure will continue to give us his best of efforts in the field to guarantee a successful campaign as a top of the line player. You can see why such a moniker is apt because number 33 delivers!
