Juan David Mosquera has been called by Colombia’s Men’s National Team for the FIFA international period in June as the Colombian Football Federation made an announcement today.
Mosquera was called up by manager Nestor Lorenzo for a pair of friendlies against Iraq on June 16 in Mestalla Stadium and Germany on June 20, on Veltins Arena on Gelsenlirchen, Germany. Very well he will join the senior team after the Timber’s home match against FC Dallas on June 11.
Mosquera, 20, made his debut with Colombia’s senior team on January 28, 2023, starting the match against the U.S. Men’s National Team and logging a full 90-minute performance. With a third call up the Colombian defender is making himself a name in Los Cafeteros (Coffee Growers).
With the Portland Timbers so far in the season, Mosquera has scored two goals and three assists, tallying seven points in 14 appearances (14 starts). Mosquera has become an indisputable starter with the Rose City team as well becoming a starter too with La Tricolor.
