Ever since the return of Jeff Attinella from the injury lt, the Portland Timbers have seen a total turnaround for the better in their defense. So far, in three starts he has accumulated 270 minutes of not allowing a single goal. By uplifting this club confidence in defense, being so solid in defending the Portland arches. Among one of his notable traits are his three shutouts the Timbers have in his campaign. So far, Attinella wants to consolidate his position in the Rose City initial eleven in the course of the whole campaign. A combination of experience and pride has made this operator a force not to be messed with under the goalposts. His dominant play has made opposing strikers think twice about finding his weak spot. Unfortunately for them he does not have one and his performances in every match speak quite loudly of this fact.

For Jeff with a new manager and system he has adapted rapidly. His levels of confidence are seen in every of the three matches he has played lately making all sorts of spectacular plays to preserve his squad win.  The system in play that manager Giovanni Savarese has put in and for Jeff by far he is one that embraced proudly. By being more involved offensively and keeping more of the ball in possession. As actions, speak louder than words, still this veteran of many battles will keep delighting us in every match with his top of the line game.

In his last match against the NYCFC the Timbers playing away his save denying a sure header and earned him a nomination for Save of the Week by MLS.  As well in this 2018 in his three starts he his saves have been the game difference maker.

Not only is Attinella the  top gun in the field he is an author of children’s books. I can state out loud: Say What! Yes Attinella is a writer for kids stories another one of his traits and talents. Call it space or sports the man on or off the field this man is one great example. Already with his publishing company It Had to be Told, the man has won some notable awards.

To conclude about this warrior that after his injury has comeback with a hunger to win. Barring injury, he will contribute to his squad’s success in the reminder of the campaign. If he continues with these performances, I do not doubt his nominations can be as the league best keeper or League MVP. Attinella is possessed and with a total commitment to excellence.
