Is Jeremy Ebobisse becoming an elite player

0

That may be the case after Ebobisse saw how the Portland Timbers reinforced the frontal attack since the beginning of the season with a couple of premier players in Jarozlaw Niezgoda from the Polish league giant Legia Warzaw and Felipe Mora from LIGA MX Pumas UNAM.

If you recall last season, Ebobisse rose to the occasion and became a vital and important piece to Giovanni Savarese’s game plan and Ebobisse delivered by scoring a whopping 11 goals in 25 starts and 34 games played in 2019.

Looks like every season Ebobisse is becoming a fierce and strong competitor and this is something his manager is looking forward to the benefit of the club, but do not count Jebo out- as the man is one strong contestant.

So far,  in the MLS is Back Tournament Ebobisse has been the spark that ignites the Portland attack and the one that opened up the scoreboard in both games played in this event so far and led them to next round.

Because of the dynamic game, he exhibits in the field and his way to convert to goals, the man has been called up to the USMNT from U20, U23, and his recent call to the senior team by manager Greg Berhalter.

With a couple of goals that have become the key points to Timber’s current success in this tournament, Jebo has been responsible for being in the right place and time to score both game-winning goals.

Now the question will be with his team already in the next rounds is will Gio consider him for an upcoming game against LAFC on Thursday and continue his scoring run against a team known for its difficulty against the Green and Gold.

However, for Jeremy Ebobisse, he’s taking it one step at a time and seeing his career taking a meteoric turn for the better in every game he plays, and adapting easily to any position he is put in either as a forward, midfielder or winger, the man will deliver.

Despite the stiff competition, for Jebo his overall philosophy is to be better and the man is showing off his skills with ambition in every game played, he simply delivers when the going gets tough for his team.

Something tells me that in the remainder of this tournament Jeremy Ebobisse will continue to display his level and the amazing game he’s putting on the field for the benefit to his team, one day I foresee the likes of Jebo being among the elite as one top US player.

In the next rounds, I don’t doubt that he will be a key factor for the Portland Timbers advancement for the next rounds, a diamond not in the rough anymore as he is demonstrating to be a game-changer for his team.

Somehow the sky’s the limit for Jeremy Ebobisse in this shortchanged season the man silently saw his time in the bench to meditate and when opportunity knocked, the man is carrying this team to the next stages and maybe the cup finals in this MLS is Back Tournament.
