Inter Miami’s roster is starting to take shape following the addition of two Major League Soccer veterans in Luis Robles and A.J. DeLaGarza.
Miami has signed former New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles, who became a free agent in the off-season after seven years in the Big Apple, racking up 238 MLS appearances.
The 35-year-old is a three-time USMNT international who arrived in MLS in 2012 after spending the early part of his career in Germany.
Robles is a three-time Supporters’ Shield winner (2013, 2015, 2018) and he also won MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2015.
He now links up with Inter Miami, becoming the club’s third goalkeeper along with Bryan Meredith and Drake Callender, likely completing the additions for that position.

Speaking upon his arrival in South Florida, Robles told Inter’s official website: “I’m really excited to be a part of this organization and this family and as we get ready for our inaugural season, I hope that as the season draws near the excitement just continues to get bigger and bigger.
“This organization is putting together a roster that is going to be competitive, that is going to be ambitious, and is going to wear the jersey with pride.
“When I met with the front office, Paul [McDonough], Niki [Budalic] and Kurt [Schmid], the way that they presented the project and the vision for this organization was incredible and for them to even consider me to be a part of it left me floored and absolutely humbled.
“The way that they spoke about it got me excited because there was even a part of me that was wondering how I fit into this, and me never being a free agent before and never really visiting other organizations and just seeing them from afar, this was a first for me.”
Inter Miami has also added another experienced head in A.J. DeLaGarza.
Also a free agent, the 32-year-old defender arrives in Florida having spent two years with Houston Dynamo, though part of his time contracted to the Space City club was spent with Rio Grande Valley with a loan move in 2018.

DeLaGarza began his career at LA Galaxy, where he made his name across seven years, racking up more than 200 league appearances and winning MLS Cup three times (2011, 2012, 2014).
The veteran defender is a two-time USMNT international, also representing Guam 14 times.
He becomes Inter’s sixth defender and adds even more experience to a growing locker room.
Speaking about the signing, Inter’s Sporting director Paul McDonough said: “His versatility and experience are vital for the Club.
“Pair that with his leadership ability, and he will be able to come into preseason ready to contribute.”
Inter Miami now has an 18-man roster with further additions to come and a head coach still to be appointed.
