The Portland Timbers made history with their biggest win in MLS history by routing a poor Sporting Kansas City 7-2. The young Brazilian, Nathan Fogaça had a dream day view scoring a brace in his debut with the Portland Timbers. The first half was another story, with the Portland Timbers going to the break just one goal ahead, with a header from Bill Tuiloma in minute 12.
The Second half, was a festival, starting with two goals from Sebastián Blanco, one at just the start at mintue 46, then another in minute 52. Nathan would make the fans fall in love with him with two goals in 56, and 69. Marvin Loria and Santiago Moreno would add to the slaughter on 88 and 92. Kansas City with timidly react, with two anecdotal goals by Johnny Russell in 57 and Marinos Tzionis in 75.
