Houston, Texas — The friendly match with the San Antonio Scorpions came as a surprise to the Dynamo players, they only found out about it Monday morning!
Ahead of their game this weekend with Colorado Houston could be without up to 8 players for various reasons. Giles Barnes and Jermaine Taylor are away on international duty with Jamaica, plus, Luis Garrido and Oscar Boniek Garcia will be with the Honduras squad for their Gold Cup playoff.
We are waiting on the status of injuries to Ricardo Clark, Nate Sturgis, DaMarcus Beasley and Raul Rodriguez.
Owen Coyle scheduled this match to see exactly who is going to snag some playing time this weekend.
Note: Two players who stood out but are not available for selection this weekend were Christian Lucatero, a product of the Houston Dynamo academy, and Bryan Moya, a trialist.
The Dynamo actually finished with 4 academy players on the pitch and bossed the game throughout, winning the game after Bryan Moya broke into the area from the right and crossed low for Chandler Hoffman to turn home.
