Rhode Island FC head coach Khano Smith was named USL Championship coach of the week after leading Rhode Island FC to their first win in club history.
The team’s impressive first-half display paved the way for a 2-1 victory over Las Vegas Lights FC.
This is Khano Smith’s first career win as a head coach.

Defender Stephen Turnbull obtained a position in the USL Championship Team of the Week 7 following his stellar defensive performance versus Las Vegas Light FC on April 20th. Turnbull, who played 71 minutes finished the match with 8.3 match rating according to Fotmob. He was named Man of the Match. Offensively, Turnbull had 1 goal on 1 shot. He had with 80 touches with 1 pass into the final third with 1 chance created.
