With goals from Dominic Oduro, Matteo Mancosu and Nacho Piatti, IMFC defeats Toronto FC 3 to 2 in their 1st of 2nd final match of the Eastern Conference in front of over 61,000 fans.
After a delay of 40 minutes in reason of technical problems, the game started quite good for the Mauro Bielo club, with a complete domination of the first half with a 2’0 lead against their neighboring rival.
In the 2nd half, at minute 53, Nacho Piatti scored their point of the match and doom loomed over the Ontario club.
After some trial to win ball possession, at minute 68 Altidore gained a first one for his team. Then at the 73rd minute, Michael Bradle scores a second goal which was the final goal of the night.
On a different note for the Montreal club, this night marked Didier Drogba’s last match in front of his fans. Press and the player himself has announced that his contract with Montreal would not go further than the end of this 2016 season. We will stay tuned to the second leg of this conference final in Toronto and hopefully we can count on Drogba for at least two other matches.
