19′ Mauro Rosales’ inswinging corner kick found Pa-Modou Kah but Jesse Gonzalez was in the right spot to parry away his drilled header.
25′ Ryan Hollingshead was gifted a wide berth at the back post to attempt a curling effort on goal. Ousted was at full stretch to punch over.
55′ David Ousted had a job to do, especially from the Jordan Smith’s right flank. As good as the Costa Rican was going forward his defensive frailties were exposed time and again. Tesho Akindele was given a free run at goal but failed to really test Ousted.
90′ Carl Robinson was incensed as he watched FC Dallas substitute Blas Perez dance around his defense before screwing a shot inches wide.
The Whitecaps are now 4 points back of Supporter’s Shield leader New York Red Bulls, however the Eastern club have a game in hand. FC Dallas is in the best position to challenge New York since they’re only 3 points back having played the same amount.
