Vancouver, BC-At some point someone is going to figure out how to stop Yordy Reyna. As evidenced by Saturday night it does not appear as if it will be anytime soon. Thanks to Reyna’s fifth game-winning goal on the season the Vancouver Whitecaps pulled off a 2-1 win at home against the Colorado Rapids.
Reyna was preceded in the scoring ledger for the Whitecaps by Fredy Montero (4′). The Rapids would respond with a goal courtesy of their own Captain Comeback, Dominique Badji, just before halftime. But Reyna (54′) and the Whitecaps would not be denied, who have now won four of their last five games (4-0-1, 13 points).
With the victory Vancouver retained possession of first place (14-9-6, 48 points) in the MLS Western Conference standings, just a point ahead of the Portland Timbers (13-10-8, 47 points).
