USWNT 6- Jamaica 0

The United States are heading back to the World Cup! On Sunday night at Toyota Park the United States Women’s National Team earned their spot in next year’s World Cup in France with a 6-0 win over Jamaica.

Tobin Heath (2′ and 29′) and Alex Morgan (33′ and 84′) each scored a brace in the match while Megan Rapinoe (15′) and Julie Ertz (21′) each added a solo goal for the side. Alyssa Naeher only faced three shots during the match en route to earning the clean sheet. In four matches during the CONCACAF Championship the USWNT have yet to concede a single goal.

With the win the United States not only moves on Paris, France for the World Cup next year but also the 2019 CONCACAF Championship Final where they will face Canada tonight. As for Jamaica their World Cup chances are not over quite yet. They will play Panama tonight with the winner earning a spot at the World Cup. The loser will go on to face Argentina in a two-legged playoff.
