Toronto FC 4- New England Revolution 1

Don’t count Toronto FC out just yet. Down a goal and facing long odds to make the 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, The Reds staged a comeback on Saturday night scoring four times to earn three valuable points over the New England Revolution.

New England took the lead in the 10th minute after Cristian Penilla finished off a Luis Caicedo pass to make it 1-0 for the visitors. But Toronto scored four unanswered goals Sebastian Giovinco (36′), Lucas Janson (53′), Victor Vazquez (58′), and Marky Delgado (81′) each scoring.

While Toronto (9-15-6, 33 points) does not overtake the Revolution (8-11-11, 35 points), they do move to within seven points of the Montreal Impact (12-15-4, 40 points) for the sixth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
