Toronto FC 4- D.C. United 4

If Major League Soccer wants to go on a break for a World Cup then D.C. United and Toronto FC sent them off in style. On Wednesday night at BMO Field the two sides combined for eight goals in a 4-4 draw to send both sides into their World Cup break with a point.

It looked like D.C. United might get all three points on the road after they marched out to a 3-0 lead before the half. Yamil Asad (11′), Paul Arriola (14′), and Darren Mattocks (45′) all scored for D.C. giving  the road-weary side a bit of a lift and The Reds supporters a bit of pause heading into the second half. But Toronto came roaring back in the second half with Jonathan Osorio (56′), VIctor Vazquez (64′), and Nick Hagglund (83′) scoring three consecutive goals to make things level. Although United did take the lead in injury time when Asad (90′) scored his second, Hagglund (92′) responded promptly with a goal of his own to bring back the deadlock.
