Tampa, FL- Why stop at two? That seemed to be the mindset of the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday night at Al Lang Stadium. After having already set the modern record for the club to start the season the club seemed more than willing to let the good times continue. Thanks to a stellar defensive effort from goalkeeper Akira Fitzgerald and defenders Luke Boden, Neil Collins, Damion Lowe, and Darnell King the Rowdies defeated their old foes the Ottawa Fury 1-0 in front of 5,104 at Al Lang Stadium.
The Rowdies lone goal came from Georgi Hristov in the 47th minute. It was his second of the season. The win also moved the club into first place in the USL Eastern Conference Standings (3-0-0, 9 points).
