Seattle Sounders 2 -D.C. United 1

If there is anything that movies have taught us it is that if one is in a bind then it is wise to call the Wolff.  Magnus Wolff Eikrem proved that he is the type of player to get things done, netting the game-winning goal for the Seattle Sounders in their 2-1 win over D.C. United.

After a first half which saw the two sides go back and forth, D.C. took the lead early in the second half with Darren Mattocks’ goal in the 53rd minute. United’s lead was fleeting though as Nicolas Lodeiro found the equalizer in the 57th minute. In the 83rd Wolff Eikrem gave his side the lead and ultimately the three points, heading home a cross from Cristian Roldan.

On hand to cover the match was Sounders photographer Richard Morrison. You can check out all of his photos from the 2018 season on SmugMug.
