Colorado Rapids 1-Seattle Sounders 2
It is often stated that after a team has a difficult result that the thing they want to do the most is get back on the field and get that bad taste out of their mouth. That is just what the Seattle Sounders did on Wednesday night. After suffering a tough loss at home to their bitter rivals the Portland Timbers on the weekend the Sounders were back at it again on Wednesday night against the Colorado Rapids. They didn’t pass up their opportunity for redemption either, scoring twice to defeat the Rapids 2-1 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Will Bruin (19′ and 59′) scored twice to lift the Sounders attack. While Sam Nicholson (40′) equalize for the Rapids in the 40th minute it wasn’t enough to retain their three match unbeaten run.
