Atlanta United 2 – Montréal Impact 1
Atlanta United hosted Montréal Impact at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a Saturday night match in front of 44,627 fans. A brace from Justin Meram lifted Atlanta United to a 2-1 win. Meram looked like his old self prior to the Orlando City drama of last season. He opened the scoring with a wonder strike in the first half and was able to find the winner late in the second half.
