Ottawa, ON – On this sunny Saturday afternoon in Canada’s capital, home team Ottawa Fury FC won against Atlanta United II.
The Ontario club secured their win in the first half of this encounter.
In minute 26′, the Cape Verdean player, Steevan Dos Santos, scored the first goal of the match assisted by a great ball play between Reid and Haworth that ultimately landed on the 8′ jersey.
The Fury got another opportunity at minute 35′ with a freekick taken on the left side outside the 16:50 area, where captain Carl Haworth completed it with a golazo on the Nicolas Caraux arc.
The teams go to break with a Fury lead 2-0. Contrary to the 2 goals describing the local team first 45 minutes, the visiting team’s was described by 2 yellow cards.
In the second half, both sides made their three changes, but it simply did not change the outcome that was accomplished in the first half. Atlanta seemed to be more present in the Fury side of the field, but simply could not complete any play.
In front of over 4000 fans at TD Place, the local took their well deserved 3 points and were able to maintain their arc free of any goals since the beginning of this 2018 USL season.
Fury players took time at the end of the match to sign autographs and pictures with youths of all ages directly on the green pasture.
