FOXBOROUGH, MA– Former New England Revolution defender Omar Gonzalez has returned home as he is set to join FC Dallas.
Omar Gonzalez, 35, joins his 7th professional club since his career debut in 2009. The defender has appeared in the United States for Los Angeles Galaxy (2009-2015), spent a season on loan in Germany for 1. FC Nürnberg (2012), in Mexico for C.F Pachuca (2016-2019), spent 2 seasons on l0an for Atlas FC (2017-2018), in Canada for Toronto FC (2019-2021) and then returned to the United States to play for the New England Revolution (2022-2023).
Gonzalez appeared in 37 matches (2002 minutes) for New England across 2 seasons where he provided 1 goal, 0 assist, and 4 yellow cards.
New England held a 17W-9L-10D record when Gonzalez appeared in matches.
