Fire Release 2023 Fixture List

CHICAGO, IL–Chicago Fire FC announce their 2023 fixture list on Tuesday. The Fire’s 26th season begins with the earliest ever home opener on Saturday, March 4th against New York City FC at Soldier Field at 7:30pm. For the moment, all home matches apart from the May 13th tilt with MLS newbie St. Louis City SC will kick off at 7:30pm. This is partly due to the Major League Soccer’s new streaming deal with Apple TV and the new Season Pass which promises more uniform kickoff times and matches primarily on Saturdays.

Right now, there are just three Wednesday night home games (kicking off at 7:30pm) for the Fire. Of course, some of the home matches are subject to either time, date, or venue change once the Chicago Bears announce their schedule as they have a five-day window before their games. Last season, the Fire had three matches shifted to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.

The Fire’s lone appearance on terrestrial television will be on Sunday, April 23rd when they visit Atlanta United for a 3:30pm kickoff on FS1.

There is a break in the regular season between the July 15th home match against Toronto FC and the August 20th match against Orlando City SC (the lone Sunday home game) to make room for Leagues Cup action–also to be streamed on Apple TV.

The Fire will not be playing Seattle, San Jose, Houston, Austin FC, FC Dallas, Real Salt Lake LAFC, or Colorado this season. They do play every conference foe twice which includes Nashville SC who return to the East with St. Louis’s insertion to the West.

The Fire will be the only team not playing when the league starts play on February 25th and 26th which includes LA Galaxy taking on defending champions LAFC at the Rose Bowl.

Below is the full fixture list for the Fire’s 2023 season.
