After 35 matches without a victory as a visitor, Chicago Fire do it against Montreal and with an incredible 3-0 win.
It’s at the 15th minute, just after a corner kick in favor of the Impact, appears the Chicago offender, David Accam, who with the rebound, leads the march towards the opponents net with excellent speed and scores the first goal of the match with a very strong shot off the right-hand post.
Accam tries on many occasions to score again at the Impact door, but Evan Bush did a great job defending his territory.
The IMFC stars, Nacho Piatti and Didier Drogba, met against a very controlled Fire defensive line, neutralizing any attack from the Mauro Biello boys.
In the second half, the Fire continue to contain the offensive engine of the Canadian team.
At 20 minutes from the end, Accam gets his 2nd goal of the match, fact that leaves the IMFC without much hope left for the 3 points, leaving the visitors with greater sentiment of domination in this match.
Which Fire take full advantage of and scores by way of Matt Polster with the 3rd and final goal.
IMFC will have a short break before their next confrontation scheduled once again in Montreal against DC United this Wednesday, August 24. This leaves Mauro Biello little time to rethink his strategic plays and alignments in order to adjust from the recent losses. The 20 801 disappointed spectators this last Saturday will want to see important changes in order to assist this next match.
