Four of first five home games to kick off at noon.
The Chicago Fire announced their full fixture list for their 22nd season on Monday and it will be a more symmetrical and a bit more condensed. With the MLS Playoffs now taking place between the October and November international breaks, and being single-elimination, the regular season will now end on October 6th.
With 24 teams in the league, the Fire will still play each Western Conference team once and each Eastern Conference team twice. It was already announced that the Fire will open on Saturday, March 2nd against LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park (nee Stubhub Center) at 7pm CT. It is now going to be the Fire’s sole appearance on FS1 as well. Four of the first five home games, including the March 9th home opener against Orlando, will be noon kickoffs. The one exception during that time is a Friday, April 12th encounter against Vancouver at Seatgeek Stadium (nee Toyota Park).
Twenty-three of the 34 matches will be on a Saturday while six will be on a Wednesday, two on Friday, and three on a Sunday, including the final two matches of the season at home to Toronto FC (September 29th at 4pm) and away to Orlando (October 6th at 3pm). In addition to the sole match on FS1, they will have three matches on Univision and two on sister network UniMas. The remainder will be online on ESPN+.
