The Portland Timbers again placed a couple of its players in MLS Team of the Week for Week 6, this time with striker Felipe Mora and defender Josecarlos Van Rankin. With Felipe Mora coming as a substitute over injured starter Andy Polo, the man showed off his scoring abilities with a brace. Somehow his substitution made a world of difference for the Timbers after the man scored in the 47’ and 60’ minutes.
For Josecarlos Van Rankin, the man has been impressive in the Timbers starting eleven, not only defending what he does the best, but also being a huge contributor in the offensive game. He was a big factor on his team Saturday’s win, being a huge contributor for his team’s three goals.
