FC Dallas has signed Colombian winger Michael Barrios, pending the receipt of his P-1 visa and ITC, the club announced today.
“Despite being only 23 years old, Michael has a lot of experience in the first division in Colombia,” FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja said. “He is a player that we know can come in and help us offensively right away. He has the speed and talent to be a great player in this league.”
Barrios, 23, spent the past four seasons with Colombian first division side Uniautonoma. Since 2011, the creative midfielder has made 136 appearances totaling 10,091 minutes for Uniautonoma. He scored 35 goals in that time, 32 of which came since 2012.
