Eryk Williamson making an all-around statement in the Timbers starting eleven

A mix in the field of veterans and hard fighting young men is paying off for Portland Timbers manager Giovanni Savarese, seeing the method if his madness as well seeing the fruits of his risks taking a turn for the better.

I mean the future is looking good with the likes of several young lads in the Rose City starting eleven lately, with Jeremy Ebobisee leading the way, somehow, we are seeing a couple more players developing into a promissory future.

With defender Pablo Bonilla doing a good job on his debut with the senior squad, one man is making headlines with his game and his effort to earn a spot in the starting eleven for years to come.

In this post, I speak about Eryk Williamson, the man that came to the Portland Timbers via trade from DC United back on January 23, 2018, and immediately sent to the T2, the Timbers USL side, and the man-made an impact in his time.

So far in Orlando, he has averaged a total of 157 minutes in both games and putting on a show of tireless energy to aide his team earns a couple of important wins that are uplifting for the Green and Gold coming to this event as a total underdog.

For Giovanni Savarese, the Timbers manager has seen his gambles paying off and with Williamson the man earning the job over the likes of Cristhian Paredes, Renzo Zambrano, Marvin Loria, and Andy Polo,

Somehow, that tells you the hunger and desire of this lad to succeed!

I can state for Williamson that you come a long way baby and with more to come from this man, I cannot wait of what’s to come from him in the remainder of this tournament as for 2021, in the end, he can claim the starting position for the remainder of next season.

As he is becoming all Gio’s man, with Yimmi Chara, Diego Valeri, Sebastian Blanco, Diego Chara, and Jeremy Ebobisse, the way he and Diego Chara teachings and leadership have taken on Eryk’s game a big toll for the better.

In the Galaxy game, the man became a total generator of the offensive and defensive game for his team and the results speak louder despite just playing 69 minutes but enough to deliver a wondrous game.

In the Houston game the man contributed for an assist to Diego Valeri in the 61’ minute.

My conclusion is that the Portland Timbers’ future is very bright indeed, as the likes of Jebo and now Eryk Williamson looks very promising as these guys one day will take over as for Eryk Williamson him being the ideal to replace the likes of Diego Chara in the defensive midfield.

No wonder he is touted as the Portland Timbers future number eight in their starting elevens.
