Dynamo remains winless since May 22nd as they tied against Real Salt Lake in Houston. This was the third match in a row that Houston gets a draw. On the other hand, RSL needed points to remain in a playoff spot in the West.

The match was well planned by both coaches. They neutralize their rivals and even though Dynamo created more clear chances to score, they were not able to do so. Part of the problem started for the Orange as Maxi Urruti, who has been one of the best offensive weapons for the team, was not part of the match.

According to some reports, Urruti has been tested positive for Covid-19, not officially word from the though.

Even though Urruti did not play, Mateo Bajamich, who was transferred to the Dynamo after Albert Elis was sold last season, had his first start in MLS. Also, to help in the offensive side and after the departure of Christian Ramirez, who went to play in Europe, Dynamo brought Corey Baird. He was transferred to Houston during the week from LAFC.

But those players were not the solution to a Houston team that has not been able to win in over two months.

Real Salt Lake came to Houston to get points. They knew they a loss would make them get out of the playoff spots, so getting a point for them was good.

The Utah team had some chances to score, but goalkeeper Marko Maric had a great match and kept a clean sheet on Saturday’s match.

At the end of the match, Dynamo coach Tab Ramos said: “It was a well-fought game I think by both teams. Obviously, we feel like we had the better of it and the better chances. I thought in general the team, in particular in the second half, we had some really good moments. Unfortunately, we couldn’t shake off getting another tie.”

Now, Houston needs to prepare to face a new state rival in Austin FC. On the other hand, RSL will travel west to face the LA Galaxy. Both matches will take place on August 4th.
