HOUSTON, TX–“This 2020 is an important year for the organization, who wants to win and be relevant again in the MLS”, this is the mentality Houston players and coaching staff have prior to the start of the MLS season. This was showed when the Forever Orange hosted their annual Fan Fest at BBVA Stadium as they keep preparing for the upcoming season under new head coach Tab Ramos.
Hundreds of fans showed up to the event to watch their team practice and to have the opportunity to see what the club is offering this season which marks the 15th year of the organization.
Also, the club presented their new players in front of the home crowd. Darwin Quintero, Zarek Valentin, Vicotr Cabrera among others, experienced for the first time what it would be like to play in front of loyal Houston fans. “The support of the fans is crucial for everyone in order to have a great season” Quintero said.
Valentin mentioned that there are no excuses to not perform well this 2020. “Adapting to Houston is very easy as this city has many things to offer to me and my family. I am ready to start the season and to win with this club”, he added.
Coach Tab Ramos has a big test in front of him since the Dynamo is the first MLS club he will coach. “I am happy to be here and with the players I have. We need to keep working to be ready for February 29th when will play against LA Galaxy.”
The Orange will keep practicing at their training facility before going to a training camp in south Texas. This camp includes a friendly match against its USL Championship hybrid affiliate RGV Toros. After that, their preseason will continue in Arizona as the team will be competing against other MLS clubs in the 2020 Sun Cup in Tucson. Below are some photos from the day:
