The venue this time was the WWK Arena in Augsburg. It was back in the league, but the result was the same—a 3-1 win to Bayern Munich who remain one of two teams unbeaten in the Budnesliga (RB Leipzig). Bayern got two goals in two minutes starting in the 19th minute with Robert Lewandowski connecting on a cross from Arjen Robben. Two minutes later, the two reversed roles. After Lewandowski’s initial pass to Douglas Costa was blocked, it went right back to Lewandowski who fed Robben who scored with Marwin Hitz at sea.

Three minutes into the second half, an errant pass by Gojou Kacar sent Robben on his way and fed Lewandowski past Hitz and into an empty net to make it 3-0 to the visitors. Augsburg did get a consolation goal in the 67th minute through Koo Ja-Cheol who made amends after a missed opportunity before halftime provided by an errant pass by Javi Martinez.
Bayern return to Champions League action at PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday at 1:45pm. The match will be online at FoxSoccer2go.com and the Fox Soccer app.
