FOXBOROUGH, MA–Revolution defender DeJuan Jones and midfielder Esmir Bajraktarević have both been called up to United States Men’s National Team for their January Camp.
DeJuan Jones, 26, has made 7 career appearances (5 starts) for the United States Men’s National Team and has registered 3 career assists in 5 call-ups for the United States.
He was last selected for the September Camp replacing injured defender Joe Scally. He registered an assist in the United States’ friendly match versus Oman.
Esmir Bajraktarević, 18, is set to attend his first ever senior call-up for the United States Men’s National Team.
Bajraktarević recently made an appearance for the U-23 Men’s National Team made 0 career appearances (5 starts) for the United States Men’s National Team in November, where he registered 1 goal in 2 appearances.
It is projected that Esmir will be a part of the United States Men’s National Team’s Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Squad.
Bajraktarević has 2 goals across 9 career appearances for the USMNT U-19s and U-23s.
The January Camp is scheduled to take place from January 8th to January 16th in Orlando, Florida ahead of the United States Men’s National Team’s friendly match in San Antonio, Texas where they will take on Slovenia on January 20th at 3:30 p.m. EST on TNT and Telemundo.
Caleb Porter and the New England Revolution begin preseason on Saturday, January 13th when players report to the Revolution Training Center for entrance physicals and testing. They kick off training on January 15th and are set to travel to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida on Sunday, January 21st for multiple weeks of preseason in preparation for their 2024 campaign. Preseason matches are scheduled versus the New York Red Bulls (Wed, Jan. 24), FC Cincinnati (Thu, Feb. 1), Orlando City SC (Sat, Feb. 10), and the Philadelphia Union (Wed, Feb. 14).
