FOXBOROUGH, MA— New England Revolution defender DeJuan Jones has been diagnosed as out for 4 weeks due to a hamstring injury.
Head Coach Caleb Porter confirmed to members of the media on Thursday that Jones would be sidelined for up to 4 weeks due to a Grade 3 Hamstring Strain.
During New England’s match versus New York City FC on April 13th, Jones chose to go to ground just moments after completing a 5-yard pass to midfielder Ian Harkes. He immediately clutched the back of his left hamstring. He was substituted after just 24 minutes of play.
Jones currently ranks 2nd amongst fullbacks in MLS with 20 goal contributions.
The New England Revolution (1-1-5, 4 pts.) head out to the Toronto, Canada where they are set to face MLS Eastern Conference side Toronto FC (1-2-4, 5 pts.) on Saturday, April 20th. The match kicks off in BMO Field at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
