Darlington Nagbe commented on his goal last Saturday their Cascadia rivals, the Vancouver Whitecaps, and in the general, the good offensive mood of the Portland Timbers. Although it is very early in the season, Portland is having the strongest season start in their MLS history, and the team sits atop the of the league with 16 points and 18 goals, the top scoring side. Portland’s USNMT international player attributes the good form to the team’s improved performance both in the attack and defense, and general good chemistry and quality of his team mates. Nagbe makes a special mention to Diego Valeri, with whom he has been playing since 2013. The Timbers performance is granting them some renewed respect on the pitch by it’s opponents to be tested next, at Toyota Stadium against Dallas FC this coming weekend.
