Crew start off season with goalless draw against Vissel Kobe

Columbus Crew 0-Vissel Kobe 0

Led by Podolski and Iniesta onto the field last night, a 0-0 draw against Vissel Kobe is a more solid start to preseason for the Columbus Crew then prior preseason overseas encounters.

Such as a 5-3 win against Japanese 6th division side Iwaki FC last year.

Which was predated in 2017 with going 0-3 in Brazil with a big 7-0 loss to Sao Paulo.

So can live with a shutout draw.

Playing in Arizona the prior night, Wil Trapp and his Columbus Crew US Mens counterparts obviously didn’t play a part.

The Crew lined up the two 35 minute halves as so.

From what I saw, which wasn’t a whole ton, Opoku and Crognale looked solid at the end of the 2nd half.

Here’s some better highlights, “the morning after” ? from Vissel Kobe:

Here’s to hoping for better coverage the next preseason game.

Everything else is awesome, excellent. ? You can never be negative about anything anymore. ? But, just a State of the Union address from Bezbatchenko before the game and some player quotes at the end of the game doesn’t really do it for me.

Hey, I’m just being honest.
