FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution II have announced that they have re-signed defender Colby Quiñones and midfielder Lucas Maciel.
They both will occupy a Senior roster slot.
The duo both were released by the club at the conclusion of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Season.
Defender Colby Quiñones returns for his fourth professional season in New England.
Quiñones, 20, began in the Revolution Academy and was a member from 2017-2020. Ahead of the 2021 season, Quiñones signed his first professional contract with the club, and has since gone on to record 75 appearances (45 starts) for the New England Revolution II since their inaugural season.
In that time, Quiñones has tallied 1 goal, 3 assists, 8 yellow cards, and 1 red card during his 4-year tenure in New England.
Midfielder Lucas Maciel returns for his fourth season in New England.
Maciel, 23, signed for the New England Revolution II back in 2020 after spending his entire youth career at Botafogo in Brazil (2009-2020). He was elevated to the New England Revolution first team in 2021 and has registered a total of 61 appearances for the New England Revolution across all competitions for both the first and second teams (38 in MLS, 20 in USL, 3 in MLS NEXT Pro).
In that time, Maciel has tallied 0 goals, 2 assists and 6 yellow cards during his 4-year tenure in New England.
The New England Revolution II have yet to name a new a new Head Coach, but Caleb Porter and Curt Onalfo are ready to begin their preparation for their 2024 campaign.
