Toronto, ON – Under a snow storm, Matias Almeyda and his Rebaño Sagrado defeat TFC last night by 2-1.
At the beginning of the match it looks like the home team will impose their local conditions and even the weather is on their side, but at the minute 2′, Rodolfo Pizarro went by himself inside the area and scores, disabling Alex Bono, who can’t believe what’s happening.
At 19’ The Man of New Jersey, Jozy Altidore and Marky Delgado build a masterpiece of combinations to ler Jonathan Osorio introduce himself on the 16.50 area to brake the Miguel Jimenez arc and equalize the actions.
TFC tries many times to conserve the ball possession, but the team of Almeyda were on high alert throughout the 90 minutes.
In the 2nd time, the Vanney Boys were on the chase of Chivas, Moor, Jozy and Sebastian Giovinco attack by all ways without success and a good preformance of the Mexican goalkeeper.
It is in the 79’ when the ex-player of Olympyacos of Greece, Alan Pulido, tries to shoot a centre pass, but the wind helps to send the ball where Alex Bono didn’t have access and straight into the net. What a golazo!
It was a hard night for the Canadian team, the Aztec team got the advantage of scoring twice, and let’s remember the fact that a visitor’s goal is more heavy on the final score.
Now, Vanney and his guys have to plan a new strategy to change the situation at the 2nd leg in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico.
