Chicago Fire Ratings v Seattle Sounders FC
STARTERS:
G-SEAN JOHNSON (7.0): Made two great saves off volleys. The only real mistake was kicking it straight to Roldan early in the first half.
D-LOVEL PALMER (7.0): Defended well mostly against Thomas and had some key crosses.
D-ERIC GEHRIG (7.5): His dust-up with Barrett aside, was a rock in central defense
D-ADAILTON (6.0): Defender well overall on the night, but will miss the next match against Columbus due to yellow card accumulation.
D-PATRICK DOODY (6.5): Did well for his first career start, though left Neagle unmarked a couple of times.
M-PATRICK NYARKO (6.0): Not 90 minutes fit, yet, but continues to show flashes of brilliance after recovering from knee surgery.
M-RAZVAN COCIS (7.0): Great two-way effort with a key slide tackle to deny Mears a scoring chance.
M-MATT POLSTER (6.0): His name was not mentioned much, but was steady throughout the night.
M-HARRY SHIPP (6.5): Brilliant offensively for most of the match, but was less of a factor late.
F-MIKE MAGEE (6.0): Another recovering player from injury whose energy permeated the Fire, though missed a free header early in the first half.
F-KENNEDY IGBOANANIKE (4.0): Missed two great chances and was not nearly on key as Magee or Nyarko.
SUBSTITUTES:
F-GULY DO PRADO (4.0): Another largely ineffective performance from the ex-Southampton player.
F-JASON JOHNSON (8.0): Came on for Nyarko and there was no loss in energy and he once again scores late for the Fire.
M-MICHAEL STEPHENS (8.0): Despite only being in from the 83rd minute on, he continued to prove why he should get more minutes with a wonderful setup for J. Johnson.
