Another Windy City Soccer feature to carry over onto Prost. Here are a collection of notes (in an ode to Juan Carlos Osorio) over the weekend from the Fire.

FIRE RE-SIGN SANCHEZ:  The Fire re-signed goalkeeper Richard Sanchez on Monday to a two-year deal with a club option for 2020. Sanchez joined the Fire on August 11th from Tigres UANL and made two starts in 2017 going 1-1-0. Sanchez is expected to challenge Matt Lampson for the #1 spot in goal.

BAVA DEPARTS:  Meanwhile, goalkeeper Jorge Bava has departed to Liverpool FC—of Uruguay. Bava started the 2017 season in goal for the Fire and started eight matches going 3-3-2, but lost the starting job to Lampson and elbow tendinitis ended his season.
TRADE FOR RAMOS?:  On Saturday, NBC Sports Chicago’s Danny Santaromita reported that North Carolina sophomore Cam Lindley has rejected a Homegrown offer from the Fire. As a result, the Fire may trade the former Fire Academy player’s rights to Orlando in exchanges for defender Rafael Ramos. Paul Tenorio has reported that the details of the trade are still being finalized.
Ramos, 23, has been hampered by injuries the last two seasons in Orlando and expressed his frustration of his lack of playing time (just 55 minutes in 2017) to the Orlando Sentinel in October.
