The Chicago Fire extended its win-streak to two games for the first time in 2020 after a 2-0 win at Soldier Field over Atlanta United on Sunday night.
Fabian Herbers scored his fourth goal of the season to give the Fire the lead in the seventh minute, while Robert Beric added a second, a team-leading sixth goal of the season.
With the win, Chicago jumped Atlanta United in the standings to take 10th place – the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
While things are trending up for Chicago with a second straight win, the same can’t be said for Atlanta United, who has lost four of the last five matches.
