Following back-to-back home wins to start the month of May, Charlotte FC goes on the road to take on Chicago Fire FC for a midweek match.

The two teams have not yet played against each other this season, but Charlotte has the better record in all-time head-to-head matchups with a 3-1-0 record and winning the last three matchups after Chicago won the first.

Currently in MLS standings, Charlotte is sixth in the Eastern Conference with 17 points and a record of 5-5-2, while Chicago sits second to last in the Eastern Conference in 14th with 10 points and a 2-6-4 record.

Charlotte FC has an even goal differential so far this season with 13 goals scored and 13 goals against, while Chicago has a -10 goal differential, scoring 12 goals while allowing 22. This bodes well for Charlotte who has struggled to score goals at times this season but has had a good defensive record this season.

Charlotte FC is still without Liel Abada and Brandon Cambridge due to injuries while Ben Bender is with Crown Legacy while working his way back from an injury.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 15 at Soldier Field. The match is available to watch for free on Apple TV.
