Charlotte FC is hosting Minnesota United in a Sunday night match.
Charlotte is coming off their best goal scoring output of the season, a 3-2 home victory over Toronto FC. Kerwin Vargas, Liel Abada and Patrick Agyemang were the goal scorers for Charlotte, Agyemang’s goal was his second of the season, making him the first Charlotte player with multiple goals on the season.
Minnesota has not won a MLS match since March 16 against LAFC. Since the 2-0 win over LAFC, Minnesota has lost 2-0 to Philadelphia, tied 1-1 with Real Salt Lake and lost 2-1 to Houston.
Looking ahead to the matchup, Charlotte FC has generated more expected goals than Minnesota, but Minnesota has scored one more goal than Charlotte so far this season. Minnesota has also generated more chances per game than Charlotte.
Charlotte being the home team gives them an advantage as they are on a 13-match unbeaten streak in MLS play.
